Discipline, I need more!

It is already Wednesday and I have yet to do any work in the studio.  Trust me, I am always busy, but other stuff seems to get into the way.  Early this week, it was financial issues!  I do not like the banks of today.  Sometimes, I think I should just stuff it all under my mattress!!!

I am working on the Master Gardner Historical Report for Yavapai County and that is taking lots of hours.  I have to manipulate large photos to fit into the report.  I am not sure why the PR group needs to shoot every photo at high resolution when they are mostly used in small format.  7MB really???

On a lighter note, I received my large order of beads and charms from Hobby Lobby yesterday.  I bought them online at 50% off!  They had a much better selection online then in the store.  Anyhow, today I hope to sort and organize them.  So yes, today should be a studio day!

over 100 beads & charms...

Disappointing!

One of favorite galleries accepted one of my art pieces for a show that started Friday, January 23rd.  To my dismay, they called on Thursday to tell me that my work would not be in the show after all.  Apparently there are two curators and one obviously has veto power over the other...  I will continue to submit work, but I will now send photos to the "top dog" for review! Lesson learned...

Step Up for Kids

The local gallery 'Tis is working with Step Up for Kids to provide step stools to local kids.  They are asking local artist to paint supplied step stools.  I have gathered a few friends and we will be participating.  Stay tuned...

Almost ready to go...

I picked up my 80 cuft argon/CO2 gas tank today from Praix Air.  Ralph from the shop put it in my car and I was able to unload it and put it on the welding cart myself. Yeah!  I am waiting on the welding table which is expected to arrive tomorrow.  My friend Kathy Anne White said she would come over and help me set-up the regulator and gas tank.  I helped her before Christmas...  It's not difficult, just intimidating!

The cost of welder is not cheap and then to add the table, tank, cart, and wire, boy it adds up!  Luckily I already have a self darkening helmet!  Since I will be using it outside, I think I have to buy a 240V extension cord!
